Personal Detail
I ’m Vanh Chhormeng, living in Prek Kampuse Commune, Kandal Steung District, Kandal Province, Kingdom of Cambodia, I was born on 24 June 1987, I am 1.65 Centimeter tall. I have four siblings (three young brothers) not including me, my parents are the farmer.
Academic Background
I studied at Prek Kampuse Junior High School in 2003 and Ta Khmao Senior High School in Kandal province 2006. Then I successful graduated bachelor of Economics in the field of Enterprise Management at Royal University of Law and Economics (RULE) in Phnom Penh, Cambodia in 2010 while I was studying bachelor, I faced a lot of challenges, obstacles and difficulties with my studies and family living condition, To solve this problems I had an initiative perspective and mechanism is ‘‘Life is struggle’’. Working Experience
Currently, I served as a project officer at Mlup Baitong based in Svay Leu district, Siem Reap province.
In addition, I am a Founder and team leader of Youth Initiative for Technology (YIT) is the volunteer youth group which was founded on January 01st, 2010 by supporting the technical from BarCamp Phnom Penh and sponsored by CITY LINK and IRI and also collaborated by all universities in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap, Computer Magazine, Open Institute in the purpose of sharing and promote the fruitful information technology to youth and students especially building friendship and social networking around the world easily.
In Jun 2007 to Dec 2008, I am a member in Technical Working Group in HIV/AID COORDINATING COMMITTEE(HACC) and responsible for managing and leading a peer educator and team leader for HIV/AIDS debate, campaign, marching, forum…, distribute IEC materials (bulletins, newsletters, posters, calendars, T-shirt, condoms…) and Networking and Collaborating with HIV/AIDS NGOs and write reports.
Awards
I am a former contestant of Youth Leadership Challenge (YLC) among 16 contestants which selected from 500 hundreds candidates through many process. Youth Leadership Challenge is an educational program and TV show is produced to encourage youth to become more responsible and act responsibly, generate initiatives, and involve in and improve their community service through working with local authority which broadcasted on CTN and organized by Youth Council of Cambodia (YCC), sponsored by USAID, IRI and Cellcard.
